Teaching This Applied Communication Course in Colleges, Universities, and Technical Institutes

Based on information and systems theory, Core Communication offers theoretically sound, well tested, practical communication and conflict resolution skills and interactive guidelines for personal, relational, and professional development. Over the years, the concepts and skills have been taught in more than 350 colleges and universities. The material has been adopted successfully in a variety of departments, including:

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TEACHER TRAINING
Available for College and University Faculty

Apply for a scholarship, which includes:

  • Tuition for a 2-day instructor workshop
  • Core Communication Instructor Manual
  • Student text/workbook and learning tools

Adopt Materials to:

Teach as stand-alone course, or as a unit or lab in an existing course by offering an applied supplement to your current text.

(When college or university teachers adopt the materials, and the school bookstore orders student materials, other teaching aids for Core Communication are also provided, such as an interactive CD.

Eligibility

Teachers eligible for the scholarship:

  • Must be faculty at an accredited university, 4-year college, community college, or technical institute/college
  • Want to consider adopting Core Communication text/workbook and learning tools for an applied communication unit or course
  • Have discussed and gained approval from department chairperson to attend the workshop and consider the material for adoption
